Melbournen Suomi-Seuran vuosikokous

Sunnuntaina 16.9.2018 klo 13.

Kokouksessa käsitellään sääntömääräiset- ja johtokunnalle ajoissa jätetyt muut vuosikokouksessa käsiteltävät asiat, ja valitaan uudet jäsenet johtokunnan vapautuville paikoille.

Seuraavat roolit tulevat avoimeksi:

  • Puheenjohtaja (kausi 1 vuotta)
  • Sihteeri (kausi 1 vuotta)
  • Rahastonhoitaja (kausi 1 vuotta)
  • 3 jäsentä (kausi 2 vuotta)
  • 2 varajäsentä (kausi 1 vuotta)
  • Tiedottaja (yksi hallituksen jäsenistä)
  • Toimintaryhmien vetäjät (urheilu, keskiviikkokerho, kansantanssi, kuoro, muksukerho).

Vapaaehtoistoiminta seuran parissa on loistava mahdollisuus oppia uusia taitoja, kehittää olemassaolevia taitoja sekä käyttää niitä suomalaisyhteisön hyväksi. Puhumattakaan mukavista ihmisistä, joihin saa tutustua!

Muistathan, että voit äänestää ja tulla valituksi johtokuntapaikoille vain, jos olet nykyinen täysivaltainen Suomi-Seuran jäsen. Tuttuun tapaan jäsenmaksun voi maksaa Suomi-talolla tai netissä.

Jos haluat valtuuttaa toisen seuran jäsenen äänestämään puolestasi, ehdottautua johtokuntaan tai ehdottaa toista, huomioi että valtakirjat ja nimityslomakkeet johtokunnan virkoihin hyväksytään kokouksen alkuun asti!

The Annual General Meeting of the Finnish Society of Melbourne is fast approaching! Coming on the 16th of September at 1:00pm, the meeting will be held at the Finnish Hall in Altona. Remember to save the date and have your say!

Come along, have some coffee, help the society on important matters, and/or nominate someone (or yourself) for a position on the committee.

These positions become vacant at the AGM:

  • Chairperson (1-year term)
  • Secretary (1-year term)
  • Treasurer (1-year term)
  • 3 ordinary members (2-year terms)
  • 2 deputy member positions (1-year terms)
  • Communications responsible (one of the Committee members)
  • Activity group leaders (sports, folk dancing, choir, Kids’s Club, Wednesday Club)

This is a great opportunity to learn new skills, develop existing skills and put them to good use for the benefit of the Finnish community. Not to mention the great people you get to meet!

Please remember that you can vote and be voted for the Committee positions only if you are a current full FSM member. As usual, you can pay membership at the Finnish Hall or online.

If you would like a topic discussed at the AGM, you can add an agenda item by contacting our secretary Anneli Jortikka before the 31st of August.

If you would like to authorise another member to vote on your behalf, fill out the proxy form and hand it to a member that will be attending the meeting. The committee nomination form is on the same document. These will be collected at the start of the AGM.
