The Finnish Society celebrated midsummer on Saturday the 22nd of June. The night started at 3pm with people coming all the way to 6pm, just before we served the food.
People enjoyed the sauna, music and good company while waiting for the food to be served, which was amazing. Everybody enjoyed the smoked salmon and roast veggies. Safe to say, absolutely no one went hungry.
We had impromptu dancers enjoying themselves to some folk music, as well as some more modern songs which continued even as everyone helped pack up. Unfortunately we were unable to capture any photos of it. If you have some that you would like to share, post it to our Facebook page or email them to tiedotus@fsmelbourne.com.au, we would love to see them!
