Tervetuloa Suomi-Seuran vuosikokoukseen sunnuntaina 25. syyskuuta klo 13. Vuosikokouksessa on tilaisuus kuulla mitä Melbournen Suomi-Seura on vuoden aikana saavuttanut ja valitaan johtokunnan vapautuville paikoille uudet jäsenet (suurin osa nykyisestä johtokunnasta allaolevassa kuvassa). Kokouksessa käsitellään sääntömääräiset asiat ja johtokunnalle ajoissa jätetyt vuosikokouksessa käsiteltävät asiat. Tilaisuudessa on kahvitarjoilu.

Muun muassa seuraavat roolit tulevat avoimeksi:

  • Puheenjohtaja (kausi 1 vuotta)
  • Sihteeri (kausi 1 vuotta)
  • Rahastonhoitaja (kausi 1 vuotta)
  • 3 jäsentä (kausi 2 vuotta)
  • 2 varajäsentä (kausi 1 vuotta)

Vapaaehtoistoiminta seuran parissa on loistava mahdollisuus oppia uusia taitoja, kehittää olemassaolevia taitoja sekä käyttää niitä suomalaisyhteisön hyväksi. Puhumattakaan mukavien ihmisten seurasta! Ensi vuosi tulee olemaan myös vaiheikas Melbournessa järjestettävien Suomi-Päivien ja Suomen itsenäisyysjuhlavuoden tapahtumien johdosta. Lämpimästi tervetuloa komiteaan!

Welcome to the Annual General Meeting at the Finnish Hall on Sunday 25th of September at 1pm. The AGM is a chance for all members to hear what the Society has achieved this year and to elect some new members to fill the Committee positions that become vacant this year (most of the current Committee members are in the photo below). The meeting includes addressing statutory matters and matters presented on time to the FSM Committee. Coffee is served for meeting participants.

These positions become vacant at the AGM:

  • Chairperson (1-year term)
  • Secretary (1-year term)
  • Treasurer (1-year term)
  • 3 ordinary members (2-year terms)
  • 2 deputy members (1-year terms)

This is a great opportunity to learn new skills, develop existing skills and put them to good use for the benefit of the Finnish community. Not to mention the great people you get to meet! Next year will also be eventful due to the Easter Games being held in Melbourne and the celebration of the 100th anniversary of Finland’s independence. Warm welcome to the Committee!
