On 60. syntymäpäivämme! Toukokuun 10. päivä 1958 Melbournen suomalaiset kokoontuivat virolaisten kirkolla South Melbournessa ja pohtivat Suomi-seuran perustamista. Seurassa voitaisiin järjestää monia suomalaisia aktiviteetteja ja tapahtumia kuorolaulusta tansseihin. Tämä tapaaminen oli Melbournen Suomi-Seuran alku. It’s our 60th birthday! Our society is considered to have begun on the 10th of May 1958 when Finns in Melbourne met at the Estonian church in South Melbourne and discussed the possibility of starting a Finnish club that would provide many activities varying from a choir to dances.
